This website will be, a reflection of my journey with myself and my Tai Chi. Throughout the second year of 'The Deepening' and for the duration of my 'Mandala Project', it will chart my progress, hopefully from darkness into light, confusion into clarity. With the aid of 'The Deepening', A Rite Of Passage, which I feel privileged to be part of, I have already come so far and I still have far to go. I have no idea when the transformation will end, I hope it never will .......
In late 2001, living a relatively superficial existance. I had considered investigating Tai Chi for a while. I looked on the internet for a local class, there seemed to be many in the area. Drawn by the most interesting website, I rang and attended a beginners workshop in September 2001. Tai Chi since then has been difficult and fulled by life's hardships. By late 2004, I was bored and didn't know why I had Tai Chi in my life. The School I am part of (Rising Dragon Tai Chi) has a residential centre in Herefordshire (Poulstone Court) and in September 2004, I visited for a week long retreat offered by the Principle Instructor of the School. It felt like make or break, the beginning or the end of Tai Chi for me. This retreat touched my heart like nothing had ever touched me in my life before - it felt like I found love, turned a corner and discovered 'my' Tai Chi. Since then it has continued to be a rollercoaster ride and I am now 'up for it' every step of the way. On the back of this experience, I applied for a place on a two year opportunity to engage with life and living Tai Chi, 'The Deepening'.
.. L is kind to my back and then I spend a very nice wee while with P .. and after, feeling much more like doing so .. I sit to engage with the evening .. it is misty and very still again .. I sit and sit and my mood does not fail .. I put a hand on my heart and give thanks for sharing and for love and I celebrate 'the beauty of MY life' .. in this moment and every moment .. and I reflect that this is what happens when I love and am loved ..
